Brooks Dyad 6
By Rudiyanto
The Brooks Dyad 6 only features small improvements from previous Brooks Dyad, which is to carry heavy runners and to accommodate orthotics without taking away from the shoe’s overall support and performance. That’s why Brooks Dyad 6 is a nimble ride for the heavyweight runner.
It has a wide base design, which allows generous room for orthotics, and for runners who have wider feet. It also features a thick heel that gives the heavy runner a durable impact at the heel strike, accounting for heavier bodyweights and the strain it puts on the runner’s foot. The Brooks Dyad 6 is meant to pound the ground.
The small improvements from the previous Brooks Dyad installment are negligible, and take nothing away from its previous efficient design. The full-ground contact at the heel, gives the runner a solid return on each step. The weight of Brooks Dyad 6 for men is 12.2 oz and for women is 10.2 oz.
Users complained about the loose forefoot of the shoe, but users were impressed with the shoe’s protective feel and cushioning, especially the feel at the shoe’s underfoot.
Brooks Dyad 6 also accommodates the support of the orthotic, while adding the support given by the shoe itself. Brooks Dyad 6 has been described as an overall comfortable ride for heavy runner, and a great home for orthotics.
Conclusion for Brooks Dyad 6, if you’re a heavy runner who requires a roomy cushioned shoe capable of accommodating orthotics, then this shoe will take care of you. Even Brooks Dyad 6 is not a particularly a speedy ride, it has been described as more of a Cadillac than a sports car, and satisfied its niche user base.

Brooks Ghost 3
By Rudiyanto
Brooks Ghost 3 is known as a lightweight neutral shoe, and it is made better than Brooks Ghost 2. Brooks Ghost 3 is great for runners who are looking for a softer ride and who want to do training every day. Brooks Ghost has gone through various stages before enter its 3rd stage, and Brooks Ghost 3 is made to accommodate most neutral runners.
The Brooks Ghost 3 is a fine choice in any level of experience you are. Brooks Ghost 3 also last longer for lighter runners than heavier runner. So, that’s why you could expect 300-450 miles of this Brooks Ghost 3.
Like most of Brooks shoes, you could expect to feel more of a rolling movement forward with Brooks Ghost 3, as you toe off. If you like the previous versions, you will probably like Brooks Ghost 3 also. Brooks Ghost 3 offers considerably more cushion or protection from the road, when compared to shoes geared more towards advanced runners.
Brooks Ghost 3 offers a unique bounce, along with great cushioning and a quality. With its specs an 11 oz (for men) and 9 oz (for women), Brooks Ghost 3 has minimal stability for all neutral runners.
The technology on Brooks Ghost 3 are, 100% recycled material laces, padded collar and tongue, removable profile sockliner, moisture-managing element mesh upper with synthetic overlays for a custom fit and feel, and last but not least, the upper of Brooks Ghost 3 gives room in the toes to stretch, while giving runners a snug fit.

For maximum stability and flexibility, Brooks Ghost 3 has a forefoot Cush Pod Configuration, the outsole components sets the foot in an efficient, balanced position from heel strike to toe off.
Our own opinion about Brooks Ghost 3 as follow:
1. For trail running, Brooks Ghost 3 is primarily built for road use, because Brooks Ghost 3 has a lightweight cushion
2. Brooks Ghost 3 is designed and performed best on the road
3. Brooks Ghost 3 providing comfort to all neutral runners, yet this model is slightly heavier than previous Brooks Ghost, still Brooks Ghost 3 is lighter than most neutral trainers

Cascadia 5
By Rudiyanto
I will review about Brooks Cascadia 5 now, since I already tried wearing these Brooks Cascadia before.
Providing a balance of support, cushioning and protection on rugged trails, Brooks Cascadia 5 trail-running shoes bring road performance to the trail. The best uses of Brooks Cascadia 5 are for mixed terrain, walking, and trail running. The pros of Brooks Cascadia 5 are rugged, comfortable, good traction, cushions impact. The arch type for this Brooks Cascadia 5 is average arch. The width of Brooks Cascadia 5 fits my foot properly and the size also fit my usual size of shoe.
As I said before about the fit, when I wear other running shoes, they are a bit tight, because I have a wide foot than others.
Since I bought Brooks Cascadia 5, I have not had any problems or difficulty on daily running or in a marathon peak run. At first, I was worried that the right toe was too tight but it has stretched nicely. So I figured the trim on the toe on Brooks Cascadia 5 changed slightly this year. The plastic seems form to my foot after wearing it. In the past, I realized the past models of Brooks Cascadia have done the same thing.
For running, since Brooks Cascadia 5 has a flat sole and nice cushioning that will let your foot land however you want, this is an excellent shoe for those of you who don’t like clunky heels.
On rainy days, traction on wet trails is good and wet rock is only adequate, but I seldom run again in rains. Even though the traction on dry Colorado technical trails is excellent, from dirt, to rocks to boulders and talus. Brooks Cascadia 5 good to use on paved trails, that’s why I wear them occasionally, even if they are overkill.
As long as Brooks Cascadia 5 making my foot comfortable, I’ll keep buying it because I’ve run with Brooks Cascadias at least hundred miles. I recommend this shoe to all of you.
